Nursing (RN to BSN)
Licensed RNs with an earned associate degree in nursing from any regionally-accredited institution already have an appropriate foundation for this Granite State College program, as do licensed RNs who have completed three-year RN diploma programs.
Granite State College's RN to BSN Program features:
- A pace that works for you. Take one course at a time, or more than one
- Opportunities to start four times a year. Terms begin in April, July, September, or January
- Rolling admissions. Apply any time, with our simple and free online application
- Different formats for learning. Choose courses that blend learning in person at any of our partner sites with the flexibility of online. Sites include Nashua Community College, Granite State College campus locations statewide, and select hospital partner locations
- Fully online program options also available
- Take summers off, or enroll during our summer 8-week term to progress in your degree
- Maximized transfer credit. Up to 90 credits of prior college coursework, with no time limit. Those with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in another field, who also hold an Associate of Science in Nursing, take only the 30 credits of nursing courses to complete the B.S.N.
- Financial aid is available even if you’re only taking one course at a time
- Highly respected faculty who love to teach in their field and make the link between the classroom and the workplace

- Program learning outcomes meet Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) standards and the Institute of Medicine’s report on The Future of Nursing

- Pathway agreements for RN to BSN graduates from Granite State College to enter Master’s in Nursing programs. Partner institutions for the M.S. in Nursing include Drexel University*. Pathway agreements are in development with Excelsior College and Rivier University, with others expected.
*A tuition discount agreement of up to 25% per Master’s credit applies for qualified GSC graduates who are accepted to Drexel’s MSN programs.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants must be Registered Nurses holding an unencumbered license. Matriculated students with an Associate of Science in Nursing will normally take an additional 58 credits to earn the BSN. Up to 78 semester credits from completed three-year RN diploma programs will be accepted in transfer. Applicants must provide the Undergraduate Admissions Office with official transcripts and documentation of the Registered Nurse license.
Applicants with additional prior college credits should
submit all transcripts of previous college course work to be evaluated for applicability to the BSN requirements, since a total of up to 90 credits can be transferred to meet program requirements. Applicants with a prior bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in another field will be waived from the General Education Courses (24 credits) and are required to meet Nursing requirements only.
